Hey Stud, it's Friends with Flair

Hello Friends, it's Friends with Flair at Unity today. Today I'm sharing a quick card for one of my Uncle's birthdays. I actually got this one in the mail on time and he should be receiving it on his birthday! A miracle for me. One of my new years resolutions is to not be so flaky with my card sending. So I am getting a running start on the new year. I hope to have another post tomorrow but who know with me. Flaky remember? It's not that I'm not excited to share my little creations with you it's just that I am a flake. Yep I said it. The first step is to admit I have a problem right?

This stamp is a Unity Itty Bitty "Hey Stud", get it here. It isn't very old and I've had my eye on it for a while. Unity always runs great promotions so I just waited for the right time to strike! LOL. The paper and K&Company Cut and Past Stack, which I have used to death! This paper looks pretty unassuming but is SUPER versatile!

Leave me a comment, I may be the last entry since it's late and I didn't get a chance to upload this earlier. Unity give a prize to one random participant and one random commenter. Yep, flake :-( That's okay cuz I love Unity and love my Uncle so I'm happy I was able to make him this cute retro card.

Friends with Flair Christmas

Hello friends, today is Unity's Friends with Flair. Yay Unity! This cute little snowman is from the November Kit of the Month. I don't have any coloring tools but I'm thinking Santa has some treats up his sleeve ;-). So excited!

I made him by paper piecing which is so fun to do also. the red pokie paper is DCWV 'Tis the Season Stack, the Kraft is Coor'dinations (the best sturdiest kraft ever) and the other cardstock is  American Crafts, the fluff ball, ribbon and twine are from Michaels. I inked him up with Memento Tuxedo Black and used Tim Holtz ink for the back ground. Also, I used a Marvy snow pen for the top of the snow, added stickels for the rest. I used distress stickels on top of the birdhouse and on the fluff ball. Super cute right?

So if you are not a Kit of the Month member go here and make it happen. Trust me you will love it.
Unity is giving away an awesome prize to a random participant and commenter so leave a comment and maybe we will bring each other some luck! ;-)

Hope you like it and thank you so much for visiting my little blog. I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy this beautiful season with your loved ones. Until next time Amigas.

More Christmas Cards

Hello Friends, just checking in again with more Christmas cards. I had made a promise that I would have some pajama and movies days this week because it was the first week that they are on vacation. Yeah that was unrealistic for sure. I have a million things to do and have not wrapped one gift. In our family Christmas dinner is on Christmas Eve so I basically always have one less day for everything.

Am I the only one? Well heck no! This is par for the course for Moms, in addition the Hubs is off the the next 4 days so my schedule will be thrown off for sure. Although he is a delightful Hubby he just throws everything of kilter with his relaxing self.

So here are a couple of cards that I made. Lotsa different manufacturers and materials, I will share later today. I am off to take one of my twins to get a tooth repaired at the Dentist. Yep, sucks!

Hope you like them and as usual, thank you so much for visiting my little blog. Until next time amigas.

Christmas Cards Yay!

Hello Friends, just wanted to share some very simple cards I made in between all of the Christmas madness. Yep it's December 21st and I'm mailing my cards today. Bad Jazz! It had been a heck of a month. I'm sure for all of you as well. I think Moms should get a spa day on December 26th! I just got a call from the Hubs that he FORGOT about his office potluck and it's in a few hours so can I whip something up? Man, he is lucky he is such a sweet guy! Or else I would have gone ballistic. Seriously, so lucky to have such a wonderful hubby but I'm not too bad myself. If even for the simple fact that I didn't strangle him, LOL!

So the first two cards are made with DCWV papers. LOVE! The stamp is Inkadinkado and was embossed with silver embossing powder. The snowmen are some super cheap but pretty cute stickers from Walmart. Yep Walmart, they were like $1.50 for a big sheet. The ribbon on the second is Joann's. The third card is made with Colorbloc glitter paper, and Me and My Big Ideas Mambi Chips, a Wilton doily and a Cuttlebug embossing folder, some silver ink and there you have it.
I had heard of the Mambi Chips and found them at Joann, I really like them and think you will too. They have a retro chic, cute feel to them.

I hope to be back before Christmas with more cards. Lots to share. Until next time Amigas.

Lookin' Good

Here is a quick card I made using my good ole' Unity Stamps, the paper is Recollections. I used gold Brilliance ink, stamped the sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa and dry embossed it with my 5x7 swiss dot folder. I think its not called swiss dot in the 5x7 size but you get what I'm doing right? I made it for my husband since he decided to give himself a new look and grow a mustache and goatee. Just a little note to let him know how much I really like him :-)

Tomorrow I will start to share Christmas Cards! Yay!!!! I just love, love, love making them!  Until next time Amigas!

Wild Card Goodness

Hi Friends, Just popping by on a BUSY Saturday to share a couple of cards. I made these using my Cricut Wild Card Cartridge. I scored this for like 17 dollars at Target when they stop carrying Cricut stuff. The top one uses DCWV paper and a Martha Stewart cupcake sticker. Ther lower one has the same DCWV paper with a Making Memories center thingy  (yes that's a technical term), a Wilton's doily, Jolees circle lace thingy and some Joann chiffon ribbon. I inked everything with chalk inks and Tada!!

That's it for now just wanted to share some goodness. I actually had some time to craft yesterday and will be sharing that with you next week. Hope you have a great weekend, until next time Amigas :-)

Gratitude is homemade Day 1-8 Aunt Teresa

The center can is Crafty Secrets, the other stickers are Recollections (Michaels)

The white cardstock is Wausau Papers (love it!) it's a bit shimmery and holds the embossing well. The pink gingham and twine is Martha Stewart, the kraft is Coordinations.

Hello Friends, today I have a sweet card that I made for my Aunt Teresa. I was raised by my Grandmother so my Aunts and Uncles are like big sisters/Aunts all in one. I have to say that although I really didn't have my Mom in my life I always felt like I had a bunch of Moms. Sometimes that's good, sometimes (like in my teens) it isn't so good. I am so very blessed that I have 6 Aunts and 2 Uncles that I grew up with. With a family that big you really get all kinds of personalities. Every one of them has an AMAZING talent, they are ALL amazing mothers, sisters and daughters. Like many other very close, very big families we are each other's best friends. For sure there are times we don't always get along. Duh, anyone who says their family doesn't disagree sometimes are TOTALLY fibbing! But we ALWAYS love each other.

I am so grateful that I know during the most difficult times in my life I have these BEAUTIFUL women there by my side. Actually there was a day in my life that I was in a very critical situation and was living 12 hours away from my family. I made a phone call to my cousin at 4 pm one day and all of my aunts and uncles were there the next day! Like at 11 am. They had rented a big old van and went to get me. In the dead of winter. Ready to bring me and my girls home. Those are the things that make you love your family forever and ever. Yeah lucky me right?

We always have a birthday to attend, wedding getting planned or a baby being born. Being a member of my family is a full time job! So a little about Aunt Teresa. She is an amazing strong woman. She has the most kids of all of us, 5! She is the diplomat of the family, she has the kindest personality, she is the definition of grace under pressure. She is a great baker, an AWESOME Mom, and a loving devoted follower of Christ. One of the things I notice about her is she is such a sweet wife. You never see her talking down to her husband or being disrespectful. Her and my Uncle's marriage is an example to me, they just are a great couple. So this is for you Aunt Teresa. Thanks for being an example of awesomeness and grace.
In honor of this month of gratitude I will post a month of gratitude. I have 8 aunts and uncles,  so they are my first 8 things to be grateful for.

Oh Babies!

Hello out there! Just wanted to share a mini album that I made for a sweet church friend that had twin boys. Tons of different companies used and I realized you get a nice look a my very ink stained dirty fingernails, lets just ignore that part, LOL. I have 16 year old twin girls so I can totally relate to her. Having twins is INSANITY. First you usually have some kind of difficulty during your pregnancy. Bed rest, one growing more than the other, high blood pressure, and twice the pregnancy nuisances. I delivered the twins almost 2 months early via C-Section. NO fun! Then after they are born you are worried about them thriving. This is in addition to being sleep deprived and lets not mention the expense involved and your hormones going CRAZY twice as much! I remember just breaking down like my dog had died because they went through a case of diapers (yes, a case from Costco) in like 3 days. I was totally hormonal and exhausted. As much as I struggled and thought it would never end, I miss it. This being said, I also got a horrible case of the baby blues. Like crying at the drop of a hat, feeling overall hopeless and miserable and then feeling guilty for not being elated that, despite the odds, I had 2 healthy little babies. Two years later we added a little sister to our collection of children. They are now teenagers two 16 year olds and a 14 year old, all girls.

All I can say is I MISS THOSE DAYS. I miss the days that I could hold them, feed them, change them and their needs were met. These days we are in now are about preparing them for the big scary world out there. For letting them slowly interact with all of those strangers that you told them never to speak to, to talk to boys that could break their hearts, make decisions that could impact their lives forever. The worst part of all? The look you get from them when they are little of total adoration is gone. Yes, heartbreaking. This Momma does not want to let go. I'm certain that sometimes my heart actually hurts at the thought of all of the temptations and dangers out there. I am so in awe of my family and all of my dear church friends that I see beaming as they see their children take successful steps to adulthood. I see daughters getting married in the temple, sons going on missions, going off to college. Now that I am in the trenches I understand what a battle, journey, odyssey (insert dramatic word)  it is.
I'm going to get a little Jesus in here, how much did it hurt Heavenly Father to send his son out in the cruel world. I have worked so hard to keep my daughters safe and have a happy childhood. What is that in comparison to what He went through. How does He feel when he sees all of us making bad decisions? He has sent us all of the tools we need to succeed but how many times do we refuse them and think we know it all. We do not need any help. The feeling I get with my daughters of wanting them to know at their young age what I know now at an older age is impossible. Yet is still wish. How does Heavenly Father feel? Gives me so much to think about.

The other day I was upset and told my Husband that I wish I knew what to do next to help them and keep them safe. I wondered why was all of this happening. He just told me, " when you look in the mirror can you honestly say to yourself that you've done your best so far?"  I thought for a moment and answered , "I can honestly say that considering all of the circumstances,  yes" I had been praying so much for wisdom and for peace. This simple question from my Husband brought me back to reality and out things into perspective. We both came from very sad childhoods and our Grandmothers were our Guardian Angels, so we know bad childhoods. My girls still have free agency and they will have to make mistakes and stumble. But my job as Mom is to never give up the fight, I've been entrusted with these little spirits by Heavenly Father and I have a job to do. Yeah world, I'm going to fight you to the end for my Babies. Because they are my heart and they will still always be those little girls with pigtails and overalls at the playground.

Sorry to go on and on but one of the reasons for this blog was to have something for myself to share and create. Maybe one person will read this and not feel so alone. So I made this for my sweet friend because I cannot picture her having any time for scrapping her sweet little boys stuff. I know that the first 6 months go by in a whirlwind so hopefully this will help her remember a little bit.

Thank you for visiting, until next time Amigas.

Happy Halloween Card

Just a quick card to share for Halloween. I  made this for my nephew Jake's Birthday yesterday, he had a costume party. Insert lots and lots of gushing for my VERY cute nephew here :-) Exciting weekend, lots of goings on, all ending with Grandpa Jack coming down for a visit to share Halloween Fun with the Grandkids. Yay Grandpa Jack!

The orange pokie paper is one of my favorites, its GCD Spring All Over stack, all of the die cuts are K&Company and the green is American Crafts. Easy peasy but cute I think. Hope you enjoy it :-) Hope you have a fun, safe, Halloween. Until next time Amigas..

Crafty Therapy

Hello Friends, it's been a long time since I've shared a card and the truth is that there has been lotsa drama around here. Lotsa sickies and busyness. I have had MANY projects laid out on my craft table and walk by with a load of laundry, a ringing phone, a family commitment , a sick kid or hubby to tend to or general catastrophe to handle and my love of crafting has gone on the back burner. Isn't that all of us? Family first, so every now and then I have made it a point to leave the laundry unfolded and the dishes waiting a while so I can get my CRAFTY on. I feel less cranky and stressed so I say it's worth it. And guess what? My family lived through my severe neglect, HaHa!

I made this card a couple of weeks ago for the beautiful daughter of some very dear church friends. She was married a few weeks ago and I made this card keeping the invite she sent out in mind.

The stamps are all Unity and you can check it out here and I noticed that part of the sentiment is wierd. I emailed them to let them know but loved the way that it turned out anyway. They are pretty awesome so I know that they will make it right. You have to know I have NEVER had any problem with any of my Unity products and have amassed a very PRETTY collection of Unity. I gush quite often about them.

I used Memento ink in Tuxedo Black for the frame, embossed it lighted with a little gold, then stamped the bicycle and sentiment with Versamark and used Sparkle Black embossing powder. I tried this like 5 times and COULD NOT get it straight so I just went with it and yes the crazy lady in me is super annoyed with it. In reality I know I will be the only one to even notice. Yep, CRAZY! I used a Martha Stewart punch for the heart border and I'm quite proud of myself for finding a use for it before Valentine's Day because I think I love it! The papers are Coordinations for the red cardstock, the pokie paper is Paper Pizaaz, the houndstooth is DCWV and the white cardstock is American Crafts, Tim Holtz distress inks. The lacey thingy is Jolees. Hope you enjoy it! Thank you so much for stopping by. Until next time Amigas.

Butterfly Elegant Goodness

Hello Friends, today I have a quick card to share. I enjoyed making this so much because I made it with a specific person in mind, a very sweet lady. I am sooooo bad about making cards and NOT getting them in the mail or to the person. This is totally on my list of things to improve on. Now that the Chitlins are back in school I have NO excuses right?
I started with the center. The frame is K&Company and the paper is DCWV Ciao Bella Stack, the sentiment is TPC and that beautiful stem is Recollections from Michael's. I made it, embossed it, and looked at it. It was originally only supposed be the center card and be a fairly smaller card so it could fit in the envelope. Then I realized that it was kind of dark , I matted it on the lighter paper, also from the same stack and inked it up with some gold Brilliance. I added the small amount of twine because I love twine, don't know why. That square brad is Making Memories, I think I've had these for like 2 years.
I think it came together well, hope you like it. Thank you so much for visiting my little blog. Until next time Amigas.

Happy Pretty Colors

Hello lovely Ladies out there! Hope your week is going great so far. My Girls started school last week so we are getting into our regular groove this week again. I hypothetically should have more time to craft now. But between errands, cleaning, phone calls, etc, it's crazy! Well I know I'm telling you all things you do and go through EVERYDAY. Stay at home Moms are AMAZING. I know I will miss this busyness and being needed when they are off on their own.

I made the base of this card forever ago. I made it and have been thinking about a good color combo to go on it. Well I played with a few things and love the colors. Simple and fairly clean. The background is Bazill, the charm is Making Memories, all of the Card stock is Coordinations, stamp is TPC and those lovely butterflies are Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly and the flowers are from Michael's.

Thanks so much for visiting :-) Until next time amigas!

You are Sew Lovely

Hello Lovely Ladies. Today I have a quick post to share. This is a card I have had in my head for a long time. I've had the lace on it saved FOREVER. It was my first time I tea stained lace and I really like the result. I purchased a giant spool of it from a very sweet old lady at an Estate sale. She said her father used to own a textile shop in Los Angeles in the 60s. We are about 45 minutes away from there and 45 minutes away from San Diego. So we get to enjoy all of the cheap textiles from the garment district and not live too close to the hustle and bustle or traffic. Yeah, I love my little suburb ;-).

Any who, it's all white so I am able to change it up as I please, YAY. The dress form is Graphic Fairy, the rose and frame are K&Company, the hounds tooth paper is DCWV (retro stack), the solid card stock is Recollections, the button is vintage.  I used a Sakura Stardust pen for highlight the rose. I really like the how those pens add just a little sparkle.

Thank you so much for visiting. Today I will leave you with a happy dance just because it's almost back to school (tomorrow) and happy dances are in order.  Until next time Amigas.

Friends with Flair Sweets

Hello Friends, today is Unity Stamp Company Friends with Flair. Do I need to gush more about Unity than I usually do? Well I say YES! They have some new releases coming up and I am beyond excited.  Go HERE   to check out all of the lovely Ladies creations for today. Fun stuff Girlies.

I made this card and did some crazy emobossing. Love it. This sentiment is AMAZING! How many things does it fit for? LOTS I say.  Take a look at the June 2011 KOM it came from HERE.  The patterned papers are DCWV Sweet Stack (candy/sweets) and Summer Stack (green), the cardstock is Coordinations Foundations. I have to say they sell this line at Joann's and I love the very dark pigment of them. They are colored to the core and so nice to work with, a total fave! The cherry rhinestone is Michael's. The ribbons are all Joann, the twine is Martha Stewart, and the button is Dritz.

Most IMPORTANT, please leave a COMMENT here. Unity is giving away a prize to one random commenter on one random blog and one random participant. Thank you so much for visiting my little blog and sharing my LOVE of all things paper and Unity. Have a great weekend. Until next time Amigas.

Simple Birdie Goodness

The past few days have been insanely hectic around here. Getting everyone ready to get back to school, orientations and the DREADED clothes shopping is torture. We also have all of the dentists and doctors appointments to get out of the way. Major wallet drainage and sweltering heat with indecisive teens is not for the faint of heart. Don't get me wrong I love my girls but I wouldn't wish back to school shopping on my worst enemy. Well, maybe the worst but that's just cuz I'm mean like that. So soon we will be back to our normal schedule and craziness. But that's okay because I also hear A LOT less, "I'm bored, what are we doing today?". LOL

Now on to the crafty goodness. Here is a Birdie card I made that was fairly simple. The patterned paper is Autumn Leaves, the frame is Me and My Big Ideas, stamp is TPC, the jewels are Making Memories, ribbons are all Joann and the brad is Chatterbox.

I love that M&MBI frame is so beautiful, and I love the whole new stuff they are making. I do wish very much that the surface wasn't glossy and easier to stamp. So I stamped the sentiment with Staz-on and it smeared a little because it is so glossy. That's okay, not too bad right? But I do like to include the mistakes I make so hopefully it helps someone out there. Or perhaps someone has a better way to do that, I would love to hear about it. Maybe I should have used dye ink but didn't want to risk it smearing and ruining the frame. I only had one of these. :-(  It's always a learning process right? All part of the fun. So the result is a cute fairly simple card. Thanks so much for looking. Until next time Amigas.

Got Scraps???

Hello friends. Here is a card I made with scraps. I just read the Papercrafts Connection Blog post about scraps and another Go-To-Gal challenge with Cosmo Cricket. Yeah click on that and take a looksie. Well I combined BOTH in this card. All of the Gals are AMAZING! So I got some lovely eye candy on all of their blogs. Check it out here, you will not be disappointed. I am really really a spaz about combining patterns but this was pretty darn easy. This card was one that I was so happy with I almost didn't want to drop it in the mail.

My paper organizing is still a work in progress since my crafty area is in my bedroom. In that was I am very limited. So I try to keep everything as organized as possible. I VERY recently realized I have 2 different drawers for scraps. One that I had started a year ago, then I redid my space and started a second. Well Whoohoo because there were plenty of scraps to work with. The best advice I have is look at Betsy Veldman's blog, she has some great ideas. I cut my scraps down to 6x6 or 3x3, separate them by patterned or solid and go from there.

The base is Kraft Recollections, green and beige is American Crafts, the pokie paper is Paper Pizazz and the hounds tooth is DCWV retro stack, the ledger and yellow rose paper is Colorbok Flea Market Collection. The doilies are Martha Stewart and Wilton, the sentiment stamp is TPC and that very sweet bow with pearls is Jolee's, always gotta add a little Jolee's it seems. Last, but not least, the super-duper cute sticker is Cosmo Cricket "Ever After" collection. Unfortunately it has been discontinued. Super thumbs down. But I kinda went crazy hoarding it when I found out and have bought a buncha packs of it.
Thanks again for looking and until next time Amigas.

Simple Fence Card and My Bob Barker Moment

Hello Friends, hope everyone's weekend was great. Ours was very busy and crazy like usual. Saturday we went up to an Animal Rescue ranch that my daughters have been volunteering at for about a year now and took care of some VERY, very cute doggies! I had different plans, a Mommy day off with my Aunts, but we had a car conflict so my plans got cancelled. :-(

That's okay because even though it was hotter than Africa (as my little girl says) it was so nice to do something together as a family to help others. This whole thing started with the Twins doing the community service requirement that California Schools have to graduate. That was 1 year ago now we are hooked on Doggies. We have made some good friends and the person that runs it BettyAnne is such a kind soul. She is fiercely protective of the dogs and they could not have a better advocate. She is tireless in her efforts despite some physical issues she has. We love that Woman!

We have fostered many pups, about 12 now. Most with social problems, skinny and just neglected. It's how we got our very old Weenies, Yoda and Okie. They are pretty much unadoptable because Okie had a battle with breast cancer, which was removed but we are thinking it's come back. Her and Yoda's owner passed away. The 2 of them have been together for 8 years. I couldn't bear someone just taking Yoda cuz he's healthier and leaving Okie to die alone in a kennel. They are besties and SUCH good, well behaved, sweet pups. See what I mean? Arrrg pulls at your heart strings. So the germaphobe crazy Lady that NEVER thought I would have inside dogs is now in Weenie Dog bliss :-)

It makes my heart hurt when I see how people can neglect and hurt such innocent, helpless creatures that give us love, protection and companionship. The rescue needs so much help and I have to keep it in perspective that all we can do is our best to help.

When I'm around BettyAnne I am often reminded of the quote by Mahatma Ghandi "A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." In my book, Dogs are members of our society not inanimate objects. So anyway this is my Bob Barker moment for the week. Just wanted to share some rambling thoughts.

On to the craftiness! I have wanted to make this card for a long time and it's the reason I purchased the Tim Holtz embossing folder. The stickers are all Jolee's and the cardstock is American Crafts. I just love those poppies and decided to keep the other colors subdued to let the bright red pop. I just inked up the woodgrain and kept it simple.

Hope you like it, and as always Thank You very much for visiting my little blog.

Friends with Flair Fun-gi

Today I have a SUPER fun card. I have wanted this stamp FOREVER. As soon as I saw it I thought of my very clever Uncle Rafael and knew he would just get it. So when Unity had a warehouse sale that was the first thing I went for. So insert A LOT of gushing for Unity here. Just love thier stamps! So today for the first time I joined the Friends with Flair (eeek). See all of the awesome creations HERE.

The stamp is called "Fun-gi" and is an Itty Bitty from Unity, I used some real wood sheets that I found at Michael's. I've been hoarding these because they don't sell it anymore :-(.  The card stock is American Crafts, patterned paper is DCWV Summer stack, that stack is really nice for paper piecing. I actually completely forgot I had it, then after spending way too much time contemplating the Mushroom tops I found it at the bottom of my stash and EUREKA! It all came together. I used some Distressing ink to give it that dirt feel with some Tim Holtz Tea Dye and Antique Linen. The stamp is double lined, don't know if that shows with the paper piecing. So cute!
Hope you like it, thank you so much for looking. Don't forget that Unity offers a PRIZE to one random commenter on the participating blogs, that would be here. Pretty Awesome right? Until next time Amigas.

Some Manly Men Cards

Hello Friends, Manly cards for you today. I believe that a I'm not alone in the fact that it is SUPER challenging for me to make man cards. It is so fun and easy to fluff up and girlie up cards. The more the better right? Well with Man cards there is the whole "Men hate fluffy things" situation. To me a card without ribbon is an abomination. Well maybe not that dramatic but I actually had fun challenging myself to keep it simple and still be Super Cool like I am. Kidding, Hee hee. Hope you enjoy them. The cards with the squares are actually thin patches that I found thinking they were really cute but not sure how to use them. I just knew I had to have them. Well Viola, a cool Man card. Hope you enjoy them. Until Next time Amigas.

Chutes and Ladders Fun

Hello, my friends. Hope everyone had a great weekend. We had a busy weekend as usual. I'm sure typical for every family with a bunch of kids. Running around takin' care of business with the Hubs and my pretty Chickies.
We got a chance to go to a flea market this Saturday morning and OMG I found the PRETTIEST vintage lace, seam binding and goodies. I was so excited I really wanted to hug the seller. Yeah, no poker face for me, LOL! The Jazz the Spaz in me totally came out. My Hubby would've strangled me if I would've said out loud what I was thinking. Something along the lines of "HOLY CRAP! That's all you are charging! Do you know how much you could get for this stuff!"  But I calmly chose my stuff and I have to say it made my day :-) Some creations using those to come.

Here is a very easy card that I really enjoyed making. No stamping on this one, just bright happy cheery goodness. Yea that is a little tiny playing board all of the pieces are real playing pieces, not flimsiness. The spinner actually spins then I put  a foam dot behind it without thinking and stopped it. Arg, it's a learning process right? Note to self: DO NOT make cool moving pieces not be cool moving pieces!
Funny story is that I found this stuff at Michael's in the clearance bin, all the way at the bottom for $1.00! It was the only one and I was thrilled. I thought it was clearly in the wrong place. When I went to check out the cashier fell in love and offered me $5.00 bucks for it. Said she didn't remember ever seeing that sticker. Her generous offer was kindly declined. I love me some Jolee's. Funny, huh!
Hope you enjoy it. Until next time amigas :-)

Card Recipe: Kraft, Red, White Cardstock: Recollections, Striped Cardstock: DCWV Celebration Stack, Border Stickers: TPC, Party Sticker: ATD, Chutes and Ladder Stickers: Jolee's, red seam binding: vintage, lotsa foam dots and Tombow glue

Cricut Goodness

Hello my Friends. Hope everyone is enjoying thier summer. Mine is good, very quiet and restful. With 75% humidity and 90 degrees here in Cali, it's WAY to hot for anything. We are sooo not used to that, not fun.

This is a card that I made with the Fabulous  Betsy Veldman's inspiration. This is CASED from a card she made for Mother's Day a few years ago, I believe. Mine pales in comparison to hers but I like the softness of it. I made it using my Cricut and let me tell you, this one was VERY time consuming. I also noticed I already sent this out and it's missing a gem on one corner. I fixed it and forgot to take a new pic. Arrg :-(  Makes the perfectionist in me CRAZY. The glitter paper is Colorbloc, the middle sticker is Flea Market from Colorbloc. This is really pretty line I really have enjoyed working with it. I pretty much bought the whole collection at Joann's. Like love at first sight. The sentiment is TPC and those wonderful butterflies are Martha Stewart. Like I said. NOT a perfect card but soft and pretty just the same. Hope you like it, until next time Amigas.
